And lets not forget, when TVs come out with HDMI 2.1 , adaptive sync (freesync for AMD) also will be there.....

Just ignore D.P he likes to downplay anything AMD.

I wonder what Vega 20 will be like when PCI_E 4.0 is used with sharing memory with RAM and SSD etc. It sounds like what they are doing with shader caching but now with a lot more other stuff.

Definitely going to need PCI-E 4.0 as 3.0 was not enough on non X79/X99 boards for a pair of 295s running quadfire.

You was maxing out the bandwidth?
Shame we have to wait untill next year 2018 for PCI-E 4.0 as i would have liked to see this put to the test.

A number of reviewers came unstuck by using non X79/X99 boards and then wondered why there was a huge drop in fps when running quadfire with the cards.

Incoming :D

With Volta pushed back to 2018, and nothing better than the TXP until then, I doubt it.

The next process after Pascal was never intended to be coming to consumer space until 2018 any way - that doesn't mean it can't be brought forward or that nVidia don't have options (which they actually have plenty of just not at the kind of costs they'd like if they had to deploy as GeForce).

Single cards offer a better gaming experience.
Until developers figure out dx12 multi support.

Vega is a superb card incoming brighter and better and ready for those pixels in 4k.
