Look forward to standard 5600 which I think it next year, plus lottery if my motherboard gets a BIOS update anyway. I might not bother, but it's nice to have options (when there is some stock).

No luck here, pre-ordered a 5950x for arrival 30th November. Videocardz.com article was totally wrong on the prices, I didn't check myself until the site I was ordering on went down either so I'll be waiting a while now. At least I can read reviews and decide whether to cancel and get something else (and still paid rrp).

Im pretty mad, had 15min reserve on a 5800x at £420 but couldn't get through checkout, tried on here as well same problem. No PC for another week or two I guess.

Not sure if people are going to be disappointed as its not quite the stomping gaming wise as people thought:

I didn't even expect it to match the 10900k (was anticipating at least a 5% loss at 1080p), seems like pretty good result overall. KitGuru review shows the 10900k slightly winning in most game benchmarks but other reviewers seem show the opposite, so it's definitely close, in addition to the 5900X easily beating the 10900k in pretty much every other task it seems like a winner.

If the OCUK website can't even handle a damn CPU launch, never mind a GPY launch, then they need to sort their infrastructure out.

Get off the work conference call... And sold out everywhere. FFS.

Ouch... sorry man. :(

Yep - no one can deny that in anything other than gaming Zen3 wins in comparison to there intel rival but that was the same for Zen 2.

It seems though as well that anything above 1080p so 1440p+ that there is little to no difference in Zen2 to Zen3 which was to be expected with intel still generally leading by a few % which with the new SAM & RAGE mode that i expect them to be basically the same in comparison to there Nvidia/intel counterpart etc

Well I was able to process the payment but they blocked it twice. So I phoned up and asked what was going on and they told me "the site is vulnerable to scammers atm" but that they will lift the block and I can pay now. Bit late for that haha

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't very, very miffed.
I ordered immediately and I almost had one but my damn phone fingerprint reader failed and I had to go through checkout again. Worked the second time but now no delivery date. I was also on a work conf call at the same time that had been organised at short notice so it was not fun... :(

Still, I pay £460 (after conversion) for a 5900x so it's at least a good price and similar to the USA.

Yup, same experience here. Got a 5950x in cart my cart super fast and apparently 15 minutes reserved, site went slow then died during checkout. When it came back up at 14:12pm I was banned from adding anything to my cart "for a few minutes" because I had attempted to add an item too many times and everything was sold anyway. Went back to check the other site that Videocardz.com said were price gouging and found out they were all at RRP. Struggled through the checkout to get a preorder for a 5950x in and by the time it completed it was 14:15pm and every single cpu of all models was sold out. Tried OCUK and the site was down. Various other places either had zero stock or websites down, it was a total mess.

Will probably cancel the 5950x pre-order as to get through the checkout as fast as possible I went with paypal credit intending to pay the lot off when it arrived or cancel...but it was only allowing fixed term payments at crazy interest.

Yep - had 5950x in basket in 2 sites including here, both crashed out on checkout stage and I'm on pre-order now... availability of 5950x seems to have been quite low across the board
