America and F1

lol no and america dont dominate everything else either they only dominate basketball , baseball, and other crap that isnt even on an international scale

Name one form on international motor sport where the USA domninate?!

I would say that the UK dominates world motor sport. Look at where most of the F1 teams are based and cars built.....

Even the Mercedes engines are made here!
Even the 'French' Renault team are based here...

etc etc

I think there's a bit of underestimating here. America is a huge country with millions of people, hence why they always get loads of olympic medals in many sports. Golf is another sport they're very good at. They have their own motorsports with very good drivers like nascar and the indy 500. I would reckon that IF they seriously got into F1 they would eventually produce several world champions.

I really do not think they would. Look at American cars. And I mean American designed and built cars. I can't think of any that Europeans think are good.

Like many thinks in America, they have the manpower and the money, but not the skills or talent.

the corvette which even Ferrari was impressed by when they tested it. Was it the ZR1?

Ok, one car, out of soooooooooooooo many!! But I'd still rather have an Aston, Ferrari, Lamborghini etc, as would most people outside America.

why though? certainly not for performance.
saleen s7 as well

Most of their cars are produced for a much different market, which is why people aren't interested and say they are rubbish.

American car. Surely that says something about the possibilities for american built F1 cars.

The USF1 team had as long as campos to get on the grid, campos did it USF1 didn't, that already shows that united states are not good enough. It took redbull 5 years before they were front row competitors and red bull have more money than you can think of.

There is no denying that Americans are good at motor sport, after all Ben Spies is the reigning world super-bike champion, but your idea that because there are lots of Americans surely one of them is the best...well there are a lot more people that aren't American lol.

Besides F1 isn't even motor sport anymore it is just a really expensive way of self promotion and selling advertising.

Yea, it shows they can put a powerful engine in a bitza and make some quick numbers not much else. The build on these things is something that would make a TVR look like a Bentley.
