America and F1

It's also why you find people in their mid 20's in some sports with the kind of injuries that up until recently were only seen at the end of careers due to them being pushed from the age of 5.

Or needing to have golf clubs removed from back passages... :D

Yeah, I used to work with a guy who almost made it as a pro tennis player. He now has chronic back problems because his spine's been dragged out of shape due to the huge differential in muscle mass on his left and right sides.

The only sports I've seen America "dominate" is ones like athletics and golf where they usally have a massive numerical advantange, like the pool tournament (mosconi cup?) we have to scour the whole of Europe to make up a team whereas they have 50 countries within their own borders to choose from.

If all the EU member states competed under the EU flag we would dominate most sports ourselves.

:D Yeah but my point is that it's obvious from that list that america HAVE dominated boxing, and right now they still have their floyd mayweather. But yeah, it's true they haven't dominated for a while in heavyweight.

why do they go with tilke when most of his tracks are crap let someone else have a go ffs

Atleast some people have sense. The Silverstone designers chose another track company because (in their words) "they didnt want Tilke to ruin it".

His company isnt by any means bad. If you have a lump of money and a field in a couple of years Tilke will build you a world class facility. Its just they seem to lack any knowledge of what makes tracks exciting.

I am now completely uninterested in the USA track, especially as it will likely replace an older track in Europe :(
