Just found out Vinnie left late last year and maybe Cody has went with him,something must have went down behind the scenes for him to leave or be pushed.

To me he was one of the best they had and will be missed from the show.
 
Ah man I love that show, they did indeed rule, they are all a good bunch though really

And for Rotty, it's a show on Discovery about Custom bikes made by OCC (Orange County Choppers)
 
Fame and fortune can do many things to a person. Maybe he was offered a better deal elsewhere.

American Chopper was becoming stale anyway.
 
Vinnie was one of the most talented and dedicated men in there imo. But yep it has become quite stale recently.

It is worthy of a watch, but it's not about the bikes. It is about the Tuttle family, who happen to make bikes. You actually see very little engineering, but lots of family feuds, trips to the dentist, holidays, etc.
 
I used to like American Chopper but I barely watch it now. I'm finding myself more lured to American Hotrod for some reason, the people seem a bit more genuine. Maybe it's because you see more about the cars being built etc.
 
What that's sly. He was their first (not including Jr) employee.
He has been friends with Jr since high school.

He was so funny, him and Mickey doing some stupid thing.
 
Probably got sick to death of doing all the work!

What about Rick, has he gone? If not, I expect he'll be next because it tends to be him and Vinnie doing everything and the rest to showing off for the cameras... if they even turn up.
 
I think fame and fortune has went to the Tuetels heads,Rick and Vinnie were deffo the best fabricaters they had.

If Vinnie is setting up his own place would love Rick to join him.
 
Its quite interesting watching some of the American Chopper specials, one of which goes through the history of both the Shop and the show. The Teutels weren't the original choice for the show, but a last minute change of mind from the production team bought them in (it was originally meant to follow the restoration of an old bike).

Without the show they wouldn't really be anything and have actually grown with the popularity of the programme as they weren't a large business to start with.

Least American Hotrod follows an established business, but Boyd Coddington is a complete nob, even allowing for the fact that he designed CheZoom one of the best looking custom cars of all time.
 
I haven't had Sky/Discovery for about 2 or 3 years so: no American Choppers, but I genuinely liked the program. Wasn't a big fan of the Teutels themselves, although their arguments were corking entertainment, but sad to hear Vinnie's gone. He was the nicest, hard-working guy on there (alongside Rick, when he joined) and always seemed to be on the end of an earful for no apparent reason :p

Watching American Hotrod was like a car-wreck. Fascinating, depressing but you couldn't take your eyes off it. The man shouldn'tve been allowed in front of the camera wearing those shirts, man...
