So now that it's premiered in the UK, what do people think of it?

Personally, I'm LOVING it and think it's brilliant and very refreshing.
It takes a overdone plot/familiar story but tells it in a somewhat awkward manner that's not 100% easy to watch, unsure why that is, but it's a good thing.

Something that's VERY important to me in a series, is pacing and I found this spot on and hope they continue this as the series progresses.

Watched a few episodes so far, it's rather good. Very weird, but then that is the point, and I like the fact that it's actually trying to be horror rather than just being toned-down crap.

Minor spoiler.

All pretty much OK but why no reaction from the daughter to what she saw?

Wifey quite liked one scene in particular ;)

From what I saw advertised it seems very high on sexual content. Is this correct?

Not really, there is some at the start of the series but it eases down but there are references through out.

The younger version of the house maid.....I wouldn't be able to get much work done with "that thing around" indeed :p

I've been watching, it's passable i guess, nothing special. The father really gets on my nerves though, he's a psychologist but he calls mentally ill people 'freaks'?

Anyone still watching this? If you thought the twists in Dexter were simply amazing so far then this will mind = blown :p

I immediately dismissed this after seeing an advert proclaiming it to be a new show from the creators of glee.

Er, no thanks.

However, after a recommendation from a friend who normally has good taste, I gave it a go and it's been very good so far. It certainly isn't falling into the pitfall most modern shows do of dragging everything out to the last, if anything it's possibly ploughing through the story too fast leaving me wondering how they'll keep up the momentum.

Also, did not see the latest twist coming!

Definitely give this show a chance if, like me, you dismissed it before even looking at it.

Got to be honest I'm starting the struggle with it.

A couple of the scenes just haven't strung together properly - infact very badly.

At the risk of spoilers - in the early episodes the daughter sees something that upsets her yet doesn't say anything about it?

Last episode all sorts of shenannigans are going on in the house, mum screaming etc etc and we see the daughter in the house having been somewhere else not a few minutes ago. All this going on in the house and no reaction from the daughter.

Its OK but its not very well written or edited.

Wasn't aware of this show, I love good horror films/tv so now downloading the first episode for a check it out trial.

That was a major gripe for me to start with as well. It just seemed like even though the family are in the same house, they might as well be living in entirely different worlds considering the utter lack of interaction that goes on between them when it comes to the creepy/alarming incidents and appearances of the ghosts.

Mind you, I'm privy to more recent episodes due to my journalistic work and things are about to get VERY interesting soon. I was ready to give up on it, but it's really starting to roll now.

I think the family distancing is due to the house, they have said the house has affects people in various ways.

The show is definitely something different and it's refreshing to watch especially after the usual weekly shows that follow a standard pattern.
