I went to Pitt Cue again on Monday, and have to agree that it's by far the nicest/most authentic BBQ place around. The real deal - I had pulled pork, bone marrow gravy mash and rib cap beans! Plus great selection of booze.
They open at 5.30 for their evening session which seats at 6, but beware that there will be a hefty queue if you go later on.
Depending on where you're going to be in town you could always head to Dukes Brew and Que in Haggerston. I feel it's one notch below Pitt Cue, but still several notches above the generic BBQ places. If she's American and looking to be impressed, I really wouldn't take her to Bodeans!
