Hi all,

Instead of getting PC speakers I have decided to get an Hi-Fi Amp and Speakers to connect to my laptop.

Now my laptop only had a Intel HD Onboard Chip, so I dont need nothin too extreme, and I would liek to get these on a budget.

I would like to get an amp as small as possible really, I have had a little scan around but they all seem to be big.

Can anyone advise me on a small amp and a set of smallish speakers?

Thanks

Good choice :)

I made just the amplifier for this situation, you can see it here;

though unfortunately i'm not qualified to sell them. So, your best bet for amplification might be the Sonic-T amplifier, which will require an external power supply (though this can be put out the way).

For speakers, Eltax monitor 3 new (£60) or second hand, second hand Mission bookshelf models or the TDI nucleus speakers from richer's might be decent.

At around £25 for the amp, £15 for it's supply and £60 if you went for new Monitor 3 speakers (plus a little for cables, £15 total), is that around the budget your looking?

thanks for the reply, most helpful.

The problem is I cant find anywhere to get the amp from, there was one on ebay but I would prefer to buy one brand new.

As OCUK dont stock these Im sure they wont mind you telling me where I can get one of these,

It is available on thier own website, however it is out of stock right now and usually is purchased from ebay anyway, new ones are availble from ebay shops. The manufactuter is Sonic Impact.

As the last post said, you'll get a lot more for your money second hand so I shouldn't be relectant to use the bay, just be careful.

The only problem I have with gettin second hand is gettin ripped off, im usually not that bothered but I have never brought speakers 2nd hand, as they might be blown or something, not really that clued up about hifi.
