Ten friends found the abusive and sexually-explicit message on their bill at Joe Delucci's Italian restaurant in Bird Street, Lichfield, Staffordshire.

Diner Clare Watkin said she thought it was written after they complained about poor service.

I'd hate to think what was in the meals if that was written before the starters?!

"Joe Delucci's owner Mr Langsdon said the message had been meant to be seen only by kitchen staff and he did not know how it ended up as an item on the receipt."

As someone on Digg said, surely that would make it worse?

Don't forget to digg it.

Unfortunatly i don't have a photo but Spain did a bread called "Bimbo", not as ammusing but names like that are quite common ;) ""Lost in Translation"" etc. :)

Stupid thing is that the woman says she would like an apology and some compensation - how is it that she thinks she deserves compensation?!

Because the restaurant owner openly admitted that the staff were abusing them behind their back, but that it was an accident that they heard about it?

I'm not 100% convinced I'd want to take them up on the offer of a free meal if I was in that situation though. Who knows what bodily waste would find its way into the food.

Yes but it's not like she deserves any money is it?

But what possible reason is there to give her money?

Let's face it; it's not that big of deal. She just had her five minuets and wants some easy money.

She already has the offer of compensation - the free meal. But you're right, I don't think I'd take it!!

Just because someone is horrible to/about someone else, that doesn't entitle them to compensation, and I wish people would stop thinking that it does.

edit: Muffin` - awesome sig
