I've offered to assist in the Project - Charity Build- Narcolepsy UK all they really need to complete the build is a 1155 CPU so I wrote to John and Conner to offer to buy them a cheap dual core CPU for the project.
I've asked the shop here if they will give me a small discount so that I can get the best CPU I can for them, so it will probably be a G620
as thats about what I can stretch to.
But what I thought was, a lot of us fold or crunch for science and the hope of finding cures for illnesses, and if anyone else would like to help bump up the coffers and maybe get them an G850 or even an i3-2120 then all the good.
Anyone who wants to help out, email me on ale "at" 3dgfx "dot" net or via the trust button if you have access to it and I'll let you know how you can help. Please also post your intent in here so I can keep track, sometimes emails come in without forum handles attached.

I'd like to place the order this weekend, 5UB has agreed to try and get some sort of discount on Monday, so I'll place the order then, so they will still get it early next week and can complete the build. So don't worry if you miss this, I know its short notice.
If I get some help then it will be a donation from the DC group rather than from me personally, and we can probably get listed as a sponsor (with appropriate banner)
