I got a game code for cheap and listed it on the obvious place, the scammers paradise, otherwise known as ebay.
I got the buyer requirements set to strictest level, so what could possibly go wrong...
After listing it, about 15 minutes later, i receive an email notification of purchase and payment, as I have the require immediate payment option set. I'm kinda suspicious, so check my paypal account, money is there, buyer has 150+ feedback, thought maybe just luck this time.
So I email them the code thinking all is good and then...yes you guessed it. Unauthorized payment dispute is opened and paypal put temporary hold on the amount.
The ebay rule with game codes however is to send the printed code/physical voucher to the buyer within 7 days, so I sent that the next morning via RM recorded mail as i was going anyway and submitted the tracking number to paypal dispute.
Fast forward to week later, case is closed. I have the money unblocked.
what a difference a letter with tracking number makes.
