ebay don't want to know, it's just automated systems and standard copy/paste replies.

Seems to be a common scam at the moment (can't see it worth it myself) buying items at retail with accessories that can be sold on then returning the item minus the accessories :S

The frustrating thing is how ebay have treated me. Everything was photographed, but they say photos don't prove anything. Short of taking a selfie with the parcelforce worker outside the depot, holding a newspaper I'm not sure what else I could have done.

Very annoying. Like I said, I'm slowly making back the loss by selling knick nacks around the house.....since the item wasn't returned for nearly two weeks I'd already spent the money you see.

When I worked for Sainsbury's it would happen all the time, People would buy consoles and return them minus a controller and hdmi lead. All that messing about just to nick a controller. Now they don't accept console returns if the seal is broken I believe.

My personal fave though, somebody returned skyrim on the 360, obviously kept the game, but put a blank cd-r in the case with skyrim written on it in marker pen. Customer services accepted it. I did chuckle.
 
I must be one of the few lucky ones. Have over 200 feedback and have never had one issue.

Sold a £350 Sonos Play 5 last week. no issues at all. Except the ridiculous fees they take.
