An embarrassing ask...

I used to drink a lot of water and found that seemed to make me sweat more.

Taking a few tips from this thread I had a bit of an underarm trim and switched to a Mitchum Endurance roll on rather than a spray and I've been dry since.

The routine I use that put a stop to wet pits is:

  • Trim my pit hair short periodically to allow good application of the antiperspirant to the skin. I didn’t shave them as that can cause its own irritation.
  • Wash my armpits thoroughly with plain soap, not shower gel as that can leave residue.
  • Wait for my armpits to dry completely before applying an antiperspirant that doesn’t irritate my skin – in my case it’s Sure roll-on.
  • Allow time for the roll-on dry thoroughly before getting dressed and going out.

As long as I follow those steps I have no issues at all.

Driclor but its stings like an absolute ***** if you have any weaknesses in your skin. Works really well I have found but even if you get a little carried away drying your armpits before hand it will hurt.

Driclor works a charm, and like mentioned don't put too much on otherwise it WILL sting. I used it for a little bit and it completely stops your underarm from sweating.

What the hell has happened to Driclor, can only get hold of 20ml bottles now which are more expensive than the old 75ml ones you used to get. :(

I would say try a few different brands of anti-perspirents before going to any drastic lengths ... Personally I find some brands have no real affect for me whilst others work well (currently I am using RightGuard Total Defence5 which works for me personally)

OK, OCUK, please help me...

For some reason I sweat a fair bit under-arm and my light-blue work shirt picks up and it looks quite off putting. It doesn't smell though...is there anything you can suggest other than putting on a t-shirt underneath to 'soak it up'?

:(:(:(

A compression sports vest, Under Armour do reasonably priced ones. These will not make you sweat or too hot and are pretty good as long as you get the right fit.

^^ Bit late to the party are you not? Jokester bumped this to complain about the pricing / sizing of Driclor ;)

Driclor is super uber mega painful.

Perspirex is just as effective but has much less armpit of hell burning fire about it, so try that.

Use perspirex myself. After a couple of applications it doesn't really sting at all and does a good job.

Got some off amazon for cheaper than boots etc.
