an empty box arrived :( how do you explain that

OP - the main mistake you made was you didn't take advantage of the 20% off eBay/Paypal code that was in an OcUK thread last month. I was able to get an EVO 850 500GB version for £90 because of the code.

Ordered a watch last Christmas from H Samuel, received an empty box, rang them and they sent a replacement no questions asked, must have had a few complaints.

Could be a dodgy return where someone has bought it, taken it out and somehow managed to keep the seal intact/re-attach the seal?

Was it from Amazon warehouse?

There was a thread on hotukdeals in which someone bought a 50 inch TV from Amazon warehouse and when they opened it, it had an old 32 inch in the box ( ie someone had just sent back the box with their old tv in it for a return)

Last month I ordered a mini ITX Gigabyte motherboard from Amazon. It turned up, open the boxed and inside was an Asus motherboard with bent pins. Someone had clearly swapped them out, problem is this was directly from Amazon, not the warehouse or filled by Amazon. Same with an i5 I purchased, opened the box and it was a Pentium Dual Core inside the box!!!!

A couple of months ago I ordered a Pi2 kit (all the gubbins) from Amazon and it arrived in an unsealed (never was sealed) box with only the psu inside. A quick email to them and a new kit was sent out straight away. When this was delivered it was again in an unsealed box! Everything was there this time though.
