Hey guys, I did a search for this, though perhaps not properly. tbh, I've been having trouble finding a definitive answer to my question anywhere.

My motherboard is an asus m4a87td/usb3, and when I go into the ai tweaker and find cpu voltage it is set to auto (1.3250v). If I set it to manual, it allows me to increase the voltage in increments of 0.0325 up to a maximum of 0.7, I think. My question is, does each increase of 0.0325 get added on top of the stock setting?

Usually when you use manual voltage settings you specify the target voltage. With Vcore some boards allow offset voltage with rerference to VID which is either added or subtracted.

On some older giga boards voltage setting did work in an offset mode from a min voltage.

Have a look in your manual and try tweaking the voltage up in small increments and use CPUID to verify the voltage.

Hey Asgard, thanks for the reply.

The manual was not of much use (it consisted of telling me what I worked out by looking in the bios), I'll give it some trial and error to see how it goes when I get a moment, and I'll report back.
