Having said that, I might take a drive up to Harwich tomorrow for a look - I don't know if the berth areas are visible from the terminal or not though.

I'm just back from a spin to Harwich this morning. It's not there, it's already back in Germany. The guy I spoke to said they were lucky in that it just missed an area which had recently been refurbished. He told me it was an engine fault, it couldn't engage the reversers or whatever it is they use to slow down.

I'm sure Gregster will give some more details when he's back.

Thanks for that! The Astor is quite an old ship now; think she was built in the late 1980s. Looks in good nick though.
