An OcUK meet in Amsterdam?

Hello peeps.

I've just been speaking to auntie von on msn and we have decided that we should put out the feelers for a meet in 'The Dam'. We know that there are a lot of meets taking place at the moment so we haven't even thought about dates etc but we just wanted to know you what you nice people out there thought about it :)

Obviously the cash situation, time off work and other commitments play a big part in putting something like this together, so we need as much feedback from everyone as to when and how we should try and get the ball rolling.

So, just to get a general consensus on this idea let's forget all about cash , holidays, work and the like and see if you can answer the following questions ;)

Would you put your name down for a 'Dam' meet if there was going to be one organised?

When would be a good time for you to go? Summer next year? This year? Xmas? (It doesn't have to be any of those times, we just want to know when would be good for you).

And the big question is ........
















































Would you bring your female counterpart? :D

Obviously there will be a lot more questions than that to be asked and answered but like I said .... it's just an idea :)

Hi,

Would be cool, I think I would prefer to go around Christmas time. As we all know our summer doesn't last very long, so I would prefer to stay in England during the summer and enjoy it as much as I can. :p :D

Well we all know what Amsterdam is famous for so I wouldn't imagain that there would be that many people wanting to see anne Frank's house ;) However that is a good point Muban.
 
I would want to see Anne Frank's house.

Then I'd go and do all the *** things afterwards.

/edit - Erm, I mean I'd go to other museums and stuff.

Why else would people want to go to Amsterdam, if it isn't for Anne Frank's infamous home?
 
I'd be up for a long weekend, sure, if the cost of Friday-Monday/Tuesday is less than £250 without counting any extras I am up for it.

Obviously some people will want to enjoy themselves in whatever ways are legal in that country. And others will want to visit whatever places of interest there are, so you'd have to agree what the meet is for, or what's happening when.

I'd love to go but being realistic, there's no chance of me making it in the near future, unfortunately. :(

There are 2 big reasons why people go to Amsterdam I beleive. One of them could be interesting ;) , the other I would have no interest in whatsoever .
 
Sounds like fun. I've lost count of the times I've been to Holland in the last few years (I do know that it is 4 times this year) but I always get in a hire car at the Airport and drive south - I've not found the time to go to Amsterdam yet!
 
Oh, I forgot to list my preferences.

Almost any weekend I can do nearer the end of summer. Christmas gets harder as work gets busier and money becomes a little stretched with pressie buying etc. And I'm not taking 'Er indoors ;) We're just back from the dam and Annie didn't really think that much of it :eek: She thought the canal boat trips were nice and the Heineken museum was good value for money :p

Half a day visiting the Rembrandt museum and half a day shopping/caféing?
 
Can we just get this out in the open

Are you talking about aranging a meet to

a) smoke drugs
b) have sex with protitutes
c) go to sex shows
d) see the sights
e) a combination of the above

Because this would effect whether people will want to go or not including me :s

If I'm spending that kind of money on a holiday I would also want to take my wife which rules out at least 2 of the options

There will be people that would like to do everything on that list MB ;) but wether or not people would want to admit to those options is down to them I suppose :confused: However, I would like to think that if it wasn't going to turn out to be a lad's thing then it would be really nice if we could do things as a group. It all depends on numbers turning up at the end of the day and what their preferences would be :)

Sounds like a fragmented group to be honest which probably wouldn't work for me and H, its pretty tough to be the straight member in the party when everyone else is wasted.

Think I have to pass, which is a shame, I like Amsterdam

I've been a couple of times and was pretty underwhelmed. The touristy cafés are full of buttholes and cost a fortune and the decent cafés are not so welcoming to foreigners. Hoors aren't really my thing, you either try it once and never do it again, or you use them all them time, in which case you're not going to all the way over there just to buy a ride.

I think once you get the pot and hoors out your system you can go back and appreciate what the place really has to offer.
 
Peeps, just for the record.

The last thing I want is to have this thread turning into a druggy chat thread so (no offence MB) I would refrain from listing your preferences and just say wether or not you would like to go and when would be good for now.
