Ooh I didnt notice they were still shipping with the 667 RAM. It doesnt make much difference though, if anything its done Ry@n a favour as his sticks are more likely to work now.
You are going to struggle to find a laptop Mac or Windows that can compete with a PC as such for gaming.
The criteria for a laptop are mobility, battery life, weight etc
Sure you may find a real high performance Alienware but is it really practical as a laptop for everyday use, or is it a mobile PC that only really works well when plugged into the mains.
I dunno. I've a 1yr old Laptop with a 2Ghz Core 2 Duo, 7900GS, 17" 1920x1200 screen and with a 9 cell battery it gets 2~2.5hrs battery life when not gaming. Yes it won't play the latest titles, but it will play a lot of games at very good frame rates. I'm sure the newer ones are faster with better battery life. I needed a jack of all trades laptop and this is as close as I could get at the time.
