I bought one of those I think it was around £60 off eBay, it came with hundreds of games already on an sd card too.

Apologies if I’m missing something here but is this supposed to upscale games or just make them playable on a 4k screen or what? Surely they will look awful on modern screens?

It sounds like a great product otherwise though

It seems a bit vague in the wording for if it upscales or not but if it has a good CRT filter it could look great, unfortunately very few CRT filters look close, plus most CRT TV's were 1/4 of the average screen size these days.
 
There is a thread for this in the Retro section! I managed to preorder one of these. Quite exciting. Anyone interested in Retro gaming should come over to that section :).
 
I was thinking of getting one myself but I think I'd prefer a retrotink 4k with a decent output connection. S video is probably more than enough though.

The Tink 4K has enhanced S Video mode which is great. However, the 64 can be a bit ropey with different filters (which can be turned off on RGB mods or I believe Action Replay codes). Something to keep in mind. MiSTer is worth looking into.
 
Just had an email from Amazon that my 8Bitdo controller for this has been pushed back to 7th August.
No delay mentioned on the Analogue 3D site though, it still says July
 
Just had Amazon cancel my 8bitdo controller preorder which was supposedly being delivered tomorrow.

But they included a link to an alternative, the same controller at the same price but launching 30th July... very odd.

Yeah, I've just had exactly the same happen here too. I wasn't exactly hopeful when I saw all of the other delays. I guess I'll get a pre-order in on the replacement one as I want a decent N64 controller for emulation (not so fussed about the Analogue 3D itself!) but annoying to be messed around at the last minute.
 
I have just realised there are two threads on this. One in retro and the other here :D. Unless there is some sort of deal in place, it seems odd that 8bitdo will not be releasing their controller without the console. I hope Analogue provide an update soon now we are in July. It is typical of them to be quiet and launch products way beyond the original dates, so nothing new but I think Trumps tarriffs may have had a hand in this one, as Covid did with the pocket.

Edit: 30th July seems promising, fingers crossed.

Haha, well pointed out. Fully thought I'd replied to the same thread.

I can only think that there is a deal like you say or there is a concern about firmware or something not being ready to cope with the console...which would be slightly concerning given it should have already been pretty finalised!
