and OC said my GPU wasn't faulty...

A little more info would have been helpful. If you sent it back and it worked fine in there test setup that's pretty much all there is to it. I am not saying it's not faulty but have you even considered that your pc could have a fault causing this. It does look like a gpu fault of some sort but it might not be hardware related either.

meh, no one else has found the solution, I just think OC lied to me about a faulty product lol. Tried everything, like going back to old drivers, currently on 14.2 beta driver because they said it stopped the artifacts. I've updated my BIOS, overclocked my CPU and tried it underclocked. Underclocked the GPU with afterburner, but i really shouldn't have to do that tbh, my build is fine for what the card is.

My only solution would be to never shop here again or go with AMD, it's a 280x btw.

Did you try reinstalling windows. Fixed many of problems over the years by doing this. Can you get a mates card to see how that goes. If you tried it in my machine and it worked would you still think the card is faulty. Can you test it in another machine to see if the same problem exists. Unfortunately it's rarely cut and shut with hardware.

I have only had to rma 1 card over the years with OCUK and i had my replacement within the week. My memory was faulty. My mate brought over his card which worked fine in my pc so i was very confident before sending mine back.

I can only agree not going with AMD :p but you do realize why they said what they did? Because they couldn't replicate the fault, assuming you sent it in for testing. That means the problem could be the card, or could not be the card. Don't be so hasty sending out blame.

All GPU's do break :p

@OP
Have you tried a complete driver removal? like use DDU Display driver Removal?

Link here http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=373303
Download and run it will ask you to restart and enter safe mode press yes. PC reboots you now in safe mode and program will auto start.
Run the recommended option, and it will restart again, now PC will boot noramlly only this time you be in Standard VGA mode with no drivers.

This have put your PC back to before you very first installed a driver now you can continue to install the driver.

To all of your answers:

Yes, I have reinstalled windows, went to 8.1 and then back to 7. my old card doesn't do this, so it's not any problems with my system or the drivers.
No, I do not have another machine to test it in, sorry.

Yes, I have tried a complete driver removal tool such as display driver uninstaller and driver fusion, it did not work.

Yes, I have tried the Hitman: Absolution benchmark and the Unigine valley benchmark test, received a crash on both with some artifacts but not a lot, but that's because it's a benchmark, I think.
No, it's just not League that's the problem, I've had it on Hitman: Absolution, Guild Wars 2, Modern Warfare 2, and the newly released Titanfall, huge chunks of artifacts appeared on Titanfall, actually, even with the card underclocked a hell of a lot.

Looking at your other thread, you said it only crashed in Titanfall and Modern Warfare 2, is this still the case? OcUK test with things like Unigine Heaven to see if it plays up, does it crash with that?

MikeGryllz,

I am sorry to hear of the potential issue with the graphics card. Being perfectly honest with you we have quite a strenuous test procedure here for all cards. We test graphics cards on multiple rigs to rule out any potential hardware issues and run cards through numerous benchmarks and gaming.

I don't want to sound rude but if we don't find a fault with an item usually it isn't faulty. It must be something else within your system which is causing the issue.

And why would we as a company lie to you about a faulty GPU? It causes more problems for us returning a no fault found item than just replacing it due to situations like this

If you are adamant that the card is defiantly faulty still I can arrange an RMA for you, sort out a pre paid label or collection and personally test it myself to see if I can replicate your issue.

You cant get fairer than that.

Best Regards

James Bailey

I personally don't think you can get fairer than that, OCUK have once again responded in a speedy and professional manor, offering a resolution to the problem mentioned. It's customer service like this that makes them such a great online retailer and for me one of the main reasons I shop here rather than go elsewhere.
I hope you get your problem resolved buddy, it's never nice having a PC related problem.
