Android 3.1 update for tablets

The Motorola Xoom UK Wifi still hasn't received this update despite all other continents getting it. Really starting to regret my purchase :(.

Are you sure ? It would seem ridiculous seeing as the Xoom was the release partner unit and even my Asus transformer had the 3.1 update weeks ago

He is right, I'm as frustrated as he it's, there's all sorts of rage about it in the motorola forum.
 
Quite frankly it's appalling on motorola's behalf. As said the Eee Transformer has had the 3.1 update already and Asus have customised it unlike Motorola. I will never be buying a Motorola product again. It's shocking after-sales support.

That really is a shocking state of affairs as they were first to market. Samsung are releasing the 10.1 with the update and those of us with I/O versions got our 3.1 tens days ago.
 
It really is shocking, I really dont understand why they are taking so long, it doesnt make any sense :confused:
 
It is pathetic, and what is even more annoying is they make no communications tot he community about it, even on their own forums. Not a single bit of information, not even why they don't have it ready.

The Wifi Xoom's are identical regardless of country afaik so it's only locale they have to change surely?

I like my Xoom but I must admit the **** poor customer support from Moto for non US customers will leave me wanting to never buy another Moto product again.

I was very dissapointed by the xoom. Poor implementation, bad communication and high price. I swapped mine in at pc world for a Eee Transformer. Seems its received several updates since launch. First thing it did was upgrade to 3.1.Also asus seem to have figured out this whole communicating with customers thing that Motorola sem to have a fear of. I`ll never buy another Motorola product again.
 
Looks like 3.2 might be out in a few weeks for the Xoom apparently, kind of rubs salt in the wounds for you guys :(
 
Just read that the 3.1 update for the Xoom is to enable the SD card slot so maybe thats why its been delayed ?

Yep, this confirms that non US Xoom's aren't GED's which kinda sucks.

If Moto had come out weeks ago and said "Non US 3.1 will be delayed as we are implementing a custom driver to enable SD support" there wouldn't have been the rage about it.

Very very poor customer relations from Moto but atleast we know it's on it's way now.
