Android 4.0 users + Bluetooth music question

I have been using iPhone for the passed 12 months but currently have a temp Galaxy Ace 2 phone and was considering an S3, but there is one niggle I want to find out if its possible or if its sorted in 4.0+.

I have a bluetooth headset in my car. On my iphone when I am listening to music and I get in my car, my phone and car sync and my music continues to play where it left of on the phone through my BT head unit.

With my Galaxy Ace, it pairs but the music is stopped and I have to go start it up again.

Is there a setting somewhere to fix this or does anyone with 4.0 know if this happens automatically?

I just tried this for you:

Playing music on the phone through the speaker, turn on Bluetooth, phone pairs with headunit and continues playing through the Bluetooth connection - no stopping.

When I turned the headunit off, the playback did not resume through the phone speaker (for the same reason, I assume, that it does not resume through the speaker when you pull out a pair of headphones)

I have a Galaxy S2 running 4.0.4 (FoxHound w/Siyah kernel)

I know for a wired output (headphone or aux connector to radio) the music resumes albeit it takes about a second or so after the call ends.

Thanks a bunch. DO you have spotify, does the same thing happen? I.E continues playing?

I don't have Spotify I'm afraid but I tried the same with TuneIn Radio and a couple of different music apps (Google Music and Apollo Player) and they did the same
