Android app to make your phone constantly scan aggressively for a mobile signal?

My guess is that you are with some dodgy provider like EE.

Actually it is the opposite, I am getting better signal than all the other networks (who are not getting any at all). But it still drops now and then.

You may find that if you go into the network settings of your phone and do a manual scan there will be 2 EE entries, one for the Orange network and one for the T-mobile network.
Try manually locking onto one or the other and see if that helps.
My signal when I'm at work is either full bars H+ or just about scraping H+ depending on which signal it's picked up first.

My Single drops to H when not in use and H+ when i ask for data. It would be nice if it stays on H+ all the time because sometime it takes forever to go to H+ and wait for data. Makes using my data sluggish when it could be good

What do you mean by 'aggressively scan' - what are you trying to achieve?

I believe he means that he wants he phone to constantly search for the best signal/provider because he is on EE instead of waiting for the signal to drop out before searching

If that's the case, he could set up a Tasker profile that turns off data at a certain signal level, then turns it back on after a 30 seconds or something. It should connect to the strongest network.

All in theory of course :p

sure thing it probably drains the battery.

He did say for it to only scan while it's on charge. Seems Tasker might be able to do something like this, but I don't think it will help in the long run... Maybe check to see if EE does one of those signal boxes for businesses?
