Android app wanted

can anyone point me towards software such as this

that works with android I want to use the grid ref system which this uses. I can currently do it with my existing software by convertng it from lon/lattude on my pc which is OK but being able to type it straight in is what I am after

Theres quite a few websites that convert lat/long to OS Nat grid (can remember any of the names) or are you looking for code?

OS have the openspace API - which i suspect does this, can't see it being tough to do on Android

Yeah its just a few lines of javascript, theres bound to be loads of websites with this.

Mmmm I would be sat here till doomsday if that was the case

I convert the LR grids via my home pc then dial into my phone however I want simple easy to use software that does exactly what that software in the link does, an 'fazing' out my home pc
I would have thought that android market would have had something similar

As a temp solution point your android browser at this.

Granted it's not pretty

but it has the same functionality as GPS2OS. (There's loads around, I'm sure you'll find something better)

what is it you want it to do exactly?

tell you your long / lat locaiton plus the OS grid reference? I've been doing some conversion work re this at work - it's in c# but may be able to port it over to Android if you've not found anything yet?
