Hi guys,

I want to move my currently over-powered PC from the living room so that I can use it for gaming upstairs. To replace it I need something that can:
  • Stream Spotify. I will use my iPhone as the remote.
  • Play XBMC smoothly. No noticeable lag please.
  • Be easy to control via a Logitech Harmony remote, iPhone or Android tablet (can use a remote viewer at a push).
  • Bluetooth out if possible. (e.g. to stream music from spotify to bluetooth speakers in other parts of the house).
  • Utilise apps such as iPlayer (not a strict requirement as I have a PS3).
  • 1080p Netflix.
  • Output via HDMI with 5.1 surround sound.
  • Wifi enabled.

I understand from the other thread that the Amazon Fire TV is a big hit at the minute but I'm not sure if it can do all of the above. Would something else be better suited?

Thanks

I bought a Gigabyte brix a few months back to repleace a RaspberryPi. It has Bluetooth, WiFi and a gigabit lan port. Connected via HDMI.

Cannot fault it, even runs CS:GO.

All depends on your budget.

Exactly what I'm looking for, I think the big difference between an android box and fire TV is the android boxes are all setup for touch screen software. Where as the fire TV is designed to be run on TV making a less stressful setup.
