Android - Download google maps

There is a feature in Google Maps that allows you to precache a 10 mile radius. Is there anyway to just download a whole country?

Possibly don't want all their data being ripped of too?

You can do it with Maps (-), massive amounts of data for a whole country. I tried to do the island of Rhodes before and gave up.

I'm guessing it will be about 1GB for a country like the UK....does Maps (-) download the maps for Google Maps or will I have to view the maps with their interface?

Just get NavFree and download the whole UK/Ireland map (about 750mb) then the UK Post Codes...

All Free!!.. then no need for a mobile network whilst traveling!!

(plus there is most of Europe and I think the USA for Free too!!)

How current is the data? Does this data work with the google maps application? (i.e. so my car navigation still works from my phone).

It's an Android App (there is an iOS version too) so it'll work from your phone!, a Completely separate Navigation App and Map data. The data is stored on yer SD card and the App can be moved there too to save space on yer phone!

The Maps are about 6-8 months old at the mo!
