Android handset comparisons

The Milestone is the GSM version of the Droid :) Not as much effort is going into hacking it because the GSM version is different from the CDMA Droid and the numbers of owners are lower, so if you were looking at custom ROM's for it there aren't many possibilities :(

Thats a shame, this was definitely looking like the one I would go for, would definitely want me mess around with it, cant remember the last time I had a stock phone :p

Just to clarify it has been rooted, its just that the main custom ROMs seem be for the Droid :( I was tempted by the Milestone too, but the big heavy hitter (Cyanogen) in the custom ROM scene got behind the Nexus, so it seemed the more logical choice for me, that and the Milestones keyboard is supposed to be a bit flat, but I'm sure you'd get used to it.....

The i7500? Heard lots of bad things about it, not the least of which being no announced upgrade from Android v1.5. I just got the i5700 (pretty similar, better in a lot of ways) and that's definitely going to be updated to 2.1, it already has been in some countries.

This is of course ignoring the fact that you can flash a new ROM to it.
