Argghh. I don't want to have my history displaying every little detail about my life contantly. Its not like I delete my texts, fb messages ect and in my history it simply displays a text was sent.. it shows the contents of the message too!

How do I just turn it off completely?

Thanks :)

Had this 'issue' too. Quite annoying as I have to remember to go in and delete it all before letting my friends have a play on it as they have proven to be sneaky little beggars!

haha skyfal, I talk it you are not a girl with younger brother? :p I would like to keep my private life.. private

So I take it I have to delete my history to be safe before handing over my phone? I mean c'mon you press the little call button and history with every message you have sent is right there! :o

\o In the same boat as a guy with guy friends. Delete messages and then remembering to go in and delete my history every time becomes a bit of a ball ache tbh :(

Is there no fix? I have always had phones that had an option to not save history.. and that never stored the contents of the message itself!

No I am indeed not a girl, I do have a younger brother though! Never really been that bothered about reading all my messages =/

You could just use applock, app protector or a similar app then you can still save all your history but stop other people from accessing the sms app.

I just keep Handcent, a SMS/MMS app for Android, locked. It does have a feature built in now.

That's the best thing to do really, since it'll be a hassle to delete your messages/history every time, especially if you're a girl who texts every other minute!

This happened to lad at work, he searched for porn.

But as soon as you press the search button its there!

Can't seem to find a way to delete it, I personally can't wait for his misses to see it! :)

what, just press delete on your text messages?

Well it's not that easy on a galaxy S. I have have checked my mates desire and he does not have it so it must be samsung software.

Basically in 'contacts' is a history tab .. in the history tab is the whole messages of everything you have sent not just who to and time but the actual contents of the message do you understand?

Deleting my texts will not delete the history in contacts. You have to go in and delete it all in there as well.

All I was asking is there a way to stop it storing all this information.

Anyone with a Galaxy S that can help?
