Android market, insufficient space on the device error

With my new galaxy ace i thought i would get a few free games like angry birds on my new phone but i get the "error insufficient space on device"

Can anyone help, i have 2gb micro sd card that came with the phone and theres 1.6gb free on it and about 100mb free i think on my internal storage.

Managed to get rockplayer fine, duno why i cant get angry birds or the bowling game.

Do you have Facebook/twitter/whats app on the device?

My wife has the HTC chacha and had the same problem, all i done was cleard the app data and it freed up around 30mb more to install games and update the phone.

move your apps to the sd card as mentioned above. you can just do this in applications section under settings on the phone.

Hmm turned phone off then on and seems to work, getting bowling game now.
