Apologies if this has been posted before but I'm trying to download apps to my HTC. Each time I login I get the following message

"There are no Android devices associated with this account."

How do I associate my device to the account?

This is the help text:

1. Not logging in from your "primary" Google account
2. Not loggingg in to the market from your phone "recently"

I've tried logging in from the phone itself and I'm using primary account but to no avail. Google search just shows loads of people complaining of the same problem but no definitive solution.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Huddy

I had this very problem with a device and had to hard reset it. It was a tablet though, but it was running Android so I presume it's the same for your phone.

However accessing my gmail account on it worked first time afterwards so perhaps you could give that a try?

Set up gmail account... not that I wanted one.. Logged in out back in and out on the device.. Still nothing.. What a pile of ****. Why can't you just register the phone on the website?

Oh same, cheers fella.

You'd have thought that when a mobile device itself can download and install from market.android.com the same account in question would be able to on a different device.
