I do like Google Music, use it for music in the car with a playlist set as available offline which nicely syncs when I add tracks to it via the web browser.
Overall from what I can tell this is nothing new except the name, they really do need to work on getting all items available everywhere, eg we need music officially and the ability to buy it, we also need the ability to buy movies rather than just rent them.
I quite like books as well, since moving to ICS on my touchpad I got annoyed that the Kindle app on Android doesn't have a two-page landscape view yet it does on WebOS so I had a look at the Google Books app and that has a two-page view \o/ Prices are pretty much the same as well, only downside is no Sepia colour scheme but I can live with that
My phone has just updated from Market to Play as of 1 min ago. I had to clear data and force stop it for another reason and it seems it then forced it to update to Google Play
