android music player

Lol, but no more seriously, what makes that music app any better than stock? I notice it has some nasty yellow wallpaper as oppose to the stock's black background. Other than what how is it different?

Yellow wallpaper? What? Winamp, the widget at any rate looks just like the old 2.x PC player. Simple, clean and functional.

No ****, but the man said 'freebie' quite clearly. Why answer if you're going to entirely ignore the specific op requirements?

If you can't work it out then I hear that sticking it where the sun doesn’t shine helps with being pedantic. :)

Stock Andoid 2.2 player is simple and works perfectly. I'm sure there will be an .apk floating around xda if you don't mind side-loading.

You mentioned aesthetics in your first post after taking a look at 'The video' now, You are asking about functionality ? Have you not installed it and used it before mouthing off ?

I think those screenshots show the 3D gallery styling is a huge improvement over the stock player, Brings a little more consistency to stock apps regarding overall looks.

Functionality: This is a very early build, Streaming support is what i think they are debugging in this build. No lockscreen controls and all other usual features yet but, Wait until the final release, I think this is going to be a long overdue upgrade though.

Winamp just needs an EQ and it's perfect tbh.

i like winamp, poweramp is ok but not to my taste. and cube is just **** full stop.

Each to thier own, I've tried the alternatives, and set to coverflow rather than default cubed view, Cubed is my favourite mp3 player on android.

Battery usage isnt excessive, I like the widgets and album art options and download feature, and the lockscreen/headphone sensing is nice, not to mention its laid out fairly nicely and remembers which track you're on through reboot.
Might not play other formats, or have an EQ, but thats about all its actually missing. Its also completely free with just the occasional screen asking if you want to donate...hardly that intrusive.

Poweramp for me is the best music player to ever grace Android well worth the few quid, I love the folder navigation, the EQ & Tone controls and the general look, lock screen functionality is good too.

The only thing it could do with is a play queue, so you can browse through your library and "add to queue" to make a temporary playlist.
