Android O developer preview

Highlights include better notifications, battery life and picture in picture support to name a few. Download links and instructions can be found in the URLs posted above. I'm tempted to try this on my Pixel XL but I'm not relishing the thought of reinstalling all my apps.

Woooo! Nexus 5x support! I was worrying considering I only bought the phone in Oct 2016 that Nougat would be it's lot.

So Android has reached a point where no new exciting features are being implemented. Mostly under the hood refinements.. which is ok i guess

I'm looking forward to snoozing notifications. Seemed quite an obvious feature to me, but it's coming now at least.

Things like Google Assistant were missing from the N preview and only released with the Pixel (and soon to be available on other devices in the UK).

There's nothing to suggest that other wow factors won't be introduced with the Pixel 2 or on the app store.

Think of this as more for developers to get apps ready for the full release and early adopters to find and report bugs.

Better battery blah blah blah - every iteration we hear this yet something has definitely got worse since KitKat with the battery on my Note 4.

Agree. Since Kit Kat essentially not much really has happened. Just small refinements.

Lots has happened since Kit Kat, The difference is you won't see the changes as most of it is to the core of Android. ART is one of the biggest changes.

I know I know, just wish there was more visual UI enhancements. Something tangible.
