Hi,
At the moment i have a HTC Legend running 2.2 and it is dreadfully slow. Lags between every app and regularly drops signal all over the place.

I have tried full factory resets and running with no apps but it is still the same.

Does anyone have any suggestions or do i just get a new phone?

Do you know much about rooting? You could wipe it all properly (the cache's etc) and that may help but a factory reset should do the job.

It could be faulty (in any number of ways) though, but just get a new phone :p

Whats your budget and how soon will you need it?

I do know a bit but my phone isn't really that well supported is it?

Yeh :D
Well if i sell my phone for around 100 then max budget of 300 and asap before i throw this phone away :(

Well, you have plenty of choice when it comes to single core Android phones like the Desire HD, Galaxy S etc, these are in the £200-300 bracket.

I would personally try and find an Xperia Arc (failing that, an Incredible S) for under £350, you can do it if you check around eBay etc, some new ones are on there for £350.

A 16GB iPhone 4 may be possible too but that will push your budget quite a lot.

Thanks mate.
I will take a look at them phones. What is your opinion on the Nexus S, there are around 300 on eBay.
Would it not be worth waiting and saving a little more for the new iPhone?

I dont really rate the Nexus S, the only good thing about it is stock Android and that isn't anything really special anyway. The Arc is a much better choice in my opinion.

We dont know if or when there will be a new iPhone until around the 6th of June, but if you are really patient, you could wait.

The Samsung Galaxy S 2 is out on May 1st (that will be around £500) and that is a monster of a phone. I'd hang on until then anyway probably as it may further push down prices.

You can get a LG Optimus 2X on ebay for £380 sim free, theres also the Desire S which is running gingerbread for around £300
