Android - stop music when power unplugged?

I'm using my Galaxy tab (gingerbread) as a bit of a ghetto car-puter.

I've got a front end which is a simple interface for playing music that doesn't sleep and that is usable without looking at the device. I've also got an app to force the screen off when I turn the ignition off and the power is disconnected.

What I really need now is something that will force the music to pause/stop when the power is removed. The music app uses standard controls so I suspect that if something would do this for the native music player then it would work for this too.

Anyone know of something that will do this?

Cheers.

I know you already have an app but Poweramp does this & it also resumes play when you plug back in too.

[edit:- sorry didn't read fully this only applies to headphones as far as i know]

I bought Tasker and in conjunction with a couple of other free apps I now have it working as I want it to.

Upon the ignition turning on the device powers on and (once I've entered my pin) loads the music app automatically.
When I turn the ignition off it blanks the screen and stops the music.

Many thanks!

Ok, now I did mention 'ghetto' didn't I? :D

So I found a couple of L brackets and realised that if I slid them in between the tablet and the fake leather case and taped it up it made for a functional makeshift stand:

I then realised after trying to find different places to set it up in the car, that the new legs fit very snugly under the existing radio:

So there it is. It's ugly, it's raw but it's a proof of concept. If I like it in a week I'll order a new case that can be modified to accept the legs. I'm also going to move the cables behind the unit using 90 degree adapters and then route to cables out of sight. At present I'm playing it through an FM transmitter, but again if it works I'll buy an ISO lead that will let me stereo use it as a CD changer.

I've got steering wheel controls for volume and mode, so can still use the radio behind it despite all the controls being hidden.

Cartunes is a really simple app but works really well. Instead of jabbing at buttons whilst the car may be on a bumpy road and missing as I've done on other apps, with this you start your swipe in the centre and swipe towards the button you want. as long as the angle is roughly right then it works perfectly. I've not yet missed the control I was aiming for.

Here is a short vid of it in action..

I need to install 'no lock' to dispense with that unlock swipe.
