Hey,

I'm after a android tablet for 2 reasons, firstly its for my daughter to use. She is 19 months old and loves looking at pictures, playing little games etc and she's been using my S2 phone for this for sometime.

I'd also like to start developing for android, creating little interactive stories and games for kids.

Obviously I don't want to spend a lot on it, its got to pretty much be disposal just in case it gets broken but I don't want something that's a rubbish and is going to cause any problems for us.

Any suggestions?

Yeah we've used one before with her and she does love it, and she loves playing with our phones (S2 and Note), looking at photo galleries etc, browsing the 500px app and playing her kiddie games on there (flash cards etc). And its scary just how well she knows how to use them.

It's just the same price as some android tablets and I know which we'd get more use out of. :) Plus, I can't develop for this. :(

Ipad 3 wifi 3g 64gb...

Overpriced apple tat, not android and a pointless post....thanks for the input though!

Acer Iconia b1.

Thanks, i'll have a look at it :)

I've just ordered a Nabi 2 for my 4 year old son. The hardware spec is very good, it has a rubber surround in case he drops it, and their customised interface looks great for kids. No chance of him messing up the settings or installing a load of rubbish from the Play Store like he does with my phone!
