Android Tablet recommendations

Hey guys,

I'm looking at getting my Mrs a tablet for Christmas, the main thing she'll be needing it for though is the Kindle app..now I know that I could just get her a Kindle, but she's visually impaired (RP) and so she will need to have the screen inverted so there is white text on a black background as this is easier for her to see.

As I understand it the Kindle doesn't do this..though I assume the Kindle Fire will as/when it is released over here, but wondered if there are any reasonably priced recommendations you could make based on experience.

It's a shame the galaxy tab 7.7 hasn't been released yet, that'll have the best screen/design for your wife.
Maybe the new version of the tab 7 if your not looking at the iPad 2/tab 10.1 price range??

Well I have an iPad 2, and she will use that when I'm not/have it at work with me, and I would get her one of those, but as it would be used for reading/facebook/email at most there would be no benefit to the extra capabilities and expense of an iPad.

Are the cheaper tabs like the Mobii 7" worth looking at?
