As per the title, I'm looking for a new tablet to replace my kindle fire. So I could do with some recommendation.

I'm hoping to spend under £200. I had a quick look around on my commute this morning and I quite like the look of the Tesco Hudl 2, more so for the price.

But I'm open to suggestions, if I can spend more for better spec/quality.

Has to be able to play Fallout Shelter. :p

Xiaomi Mi Pad 16GB with nvidia K1, £160-£192 online.

Good for the price, Hudl 2 is false value as the hardware and build quality is crap.

Everything except web, I use my Kindle on my daily train commute, not a fancy train, so no wifi.
I would love to use it more for games, not been able to do much of that on my Kindle, and my old iphone is struggling these days.

No Wifi? I'm amusing you need a tablet with LTE support if your taking it on your commute, can you tether to your phone for data?

Nope, my phone plan doesn't allow for that. Also I'm not terrible bothered about browsing the net, there's also a fair few spots on my journey where I loose 3G all together.

Oh ok, you would be hard pressed to pickup a tablet for under £200 with LTE support.

So what do you use it for other than playing fallout shelter? :)

id say have a look at this asus, its newer than the mi pad, very similar spec, its got 2gb ram despite what currys say. its 4:3 so its good for reading

this is the lenovo, quite competitive to the hudl, i own the lenovo and its not bad, good spec, but its definitely not premium

Really? Atom vs K1 for the same same price. Newer doesn't mean better, in this case that's definitely true.
