i've been thinking about getting a tablet pc for a while now but not really put much thought into it untill now so don't know much about what to look for, i mainly want one for the net, vids and reading pdf files with pdf file reading being the most important, also knowing very little about them raises a few questions, now i have an iphone and have had quite a few pda and htc windows phones i'm guessing android is the same sort of thing but who does it handle pdf's ie: to change page is it drag up to view the next page or right to left flick like reading a book like the iphone

also i have seen quite a few tablets with version 1.5 ect installed with 2.2 being the latest iirc now with the lower (cheaper) tabs can they be upgraded to the latest OS or are they forever stuck on what ever versions they shipped with? also while on the subject of the OS if i was to buy a version 1.5 android tab what would i be missing out on oviousley flash 10.1 being the big one?

now i'm looking i like the look of the dell and n700 with a few others so anyone got any recomendations i know some are going to say samsung but to be honest i'm not a big samsung fan having had a few of there phones and monitors with my current being a 27" P2770HD which is great as a monitor but rubbish for hdmi or any of the other imputs so my 360 looks like it's an xbox 1 ...... anyway back on topic.......... so any recomendations guys and gals :)

I have an Advent Vega which so far has been excellent. I'm running the modaco rom so have full access to the Android market, the machine runs great and i'll be able to upgrade to 2.3 once it comes out. (Currently running 2.1).

I second the Vega, very good vfm indeed, and it's running Android 2.2 out of the box!
