Android to windows phone 8?

Ok so my girlfriend really likes the look of the Lumia 925 but us fairly well embedded into Google (Gmail/calendar/contacts).
as I know nothing about Windows phone I thought I'd ask you learned fellows how the transition is and what she may lose out on (I've already explained about the lack of apps in comparison to Android).

do Google even do apps for Windows phone? do for ios so assume they do but unsure.

No, Google are ignoring Windows Phone at the moment.

You should be able to access your mail, contacts and calendar though.

Gmail's fine, all the missing Google apps are pretty much covered by 3rd party developers whos apps generally tend to be better.

Yeah no worries with mail here on my Samsung ATIV S. Search etc. can be switched over fine.

Although your emails won't get pushed unless you fiddle around a bit
