Afternoon all,

This isn't your normal iPhone vs Android thread, and I'm hoping to get some constructive answers here! Which operating system do you think is better out of Android and Windows Mobile, and why? If you haven't tried Windows mobile I'd be interested to know why that is too!

Thanks

Me personally... I'm an iFanboy though I have had my 4s pretty much since release now! I've tried other phones - not for long enough and gone back to the 4s.

I'm sick of it going flat now and have changed the battery once so the time has come to move on! I'm either going android or windows. The only apps that are really important to me are Whatsapp, YouTube and Santander. Problem is - Santander don't have a wp app! The windows YouTube app is poor, but I've just read that there are some decent alternatives.

I had a 930 for a day or so, and found the screen stunning. I'm assuming it plays nicely with onedrive given that in itself is a Microsoft creation? The lack of google drive is disappointing, but I favour onedrive over that anyway.

We overspill into every thread haha.

Nexus 5 isn't a bad shout is it? What currently has amused me is I'm being called a liar regarding owning a lumia 930.... offered the guy a screenshot of my trade in email or a photo of the box but no response as of yet!

I have a problem with being indecisive, not being a typical online bs'er ::p

It's really tough isn't it :(:p:o Nexus 5 for £150 isn't a bad shout is it? Shame its only 16gb but there is no way I'm paying £340 for a new 32gb one now!

I'm hopeful Windows 10 and it's "universal platform" approach will make a difference. Developers will be able to create a single app that will work across all Microsoft platforms, that's pretty big.

Lets hope so. I'll wait until then before I venture back to windows mobile.

Lots of apps, games, web browsing and every day useage - iOS
A few apps and some good games, web browsing and every day useage - WP
Customisation and "advanced" features - Android

iOS has all the benefits of Android (except the customisation) but none of the negatives. It also has many of the benefits of WP, but far more apps, and tbh the iPhone 6 is stunning hardware wise, I almost bought the 930 but the lack of apps and the thickness drew me away. The only reason I would recommend Android at the moment is if you want major customisation and/or need in depth apps that do things like sniff wifi, funky VPNs or cameras that record with the screen locked and/or track movement (such as Cerberus)...

I fancied another 930, but truth be told I don't keep many phones very often at all and always fall back to my 4s. If the 6 wasn't so expensive for a usable memory configuration (64gb) then I'd have one. Apple knew what they were doing there by not starting at 32gb though!
