Angry Birds in your web browser!

I didn't know what Angry Birds was but I have seen it in a few signatures on other forums. Having wiki'd it just now, I can say that I did see something like this on a mate's iPhone around 2008 time. It was just cannon balls though but you still have x number of catapult shots to pull down a building or a castle.

I recently had to back my phone up and I lost all my progress on AB's.

I had 3 stars on everything :(

Sad times.

This type of game is almost as old as computers themselves. I'm sure I programmed a similar game on the Spectrum when I was a kid. But you have to admit Angry birds is 1) pretty highly polished 2) Pretty well marketed/merchandised. 3)Most people playing it probably haven;t played anything like it before so it's all new to them

In saying that though, there is one very annoying feature of the ipad version - when the camera 'relaxes' for the start of the level, it puts the catapult too near the edge of the screen, so you pull the bird and this then makes the screen scroll left about 1cm, totally messing up your shot.

Also, I ran this in Safari on Mac, worked fine, but pinch zoom does something funky to the layout.

It annoys me that it zooms in at all! I find it much easier to play zoomed out and wish I could make it default to that!

ok i don't have a smart phone, but isnt this liek any flash game ive been playing on my pc since...... 1998 ???

It almost identical to another i played knocking down structures with bombs.... but not as good lol

I really don't see what Angry Birds does that any other old flash game like Crush the Castle doesn't do, but as whitecrook pointed out - it's popular for the new generation of owners of smart phones who've never played such (advanced) games I suppose ;)
The developers must be laughing their rocks off all the way to the bank that they're making money for old rope.

Smooth as silk in FF4.0.1

I have all 3 on my phone though but it's nice to get it in HD :D

3 stars here I come...
