Wasn't sure where to put this as it's not really "Home Cinema & Hi-Fi", but it is audio at least :)

I wanted to share in case anyone was after a small bluetooth speaker.

I wanted something that was small enough to carry around but loud enough to use. So it does meet that requirement in that it's Small, compact, but loud enough.

First impression is that it looks and feels like a solid device. Simple buttons on the front provide volume up/down and a play/pause button.

I paired it successfully with my iPhone 5s, without reading the instructions so that's always a positive in my book. If you need to read the manual to pair something, then it's too complicated :)

The Anker MP141 would suit any person, young or old, that needs to transmit their music or phone calls to a stand alone speaker. Ideal for beach/garden parties, or a home office, it's a very versatile device.

The build of the device is good, the material finish is a rubberised plastic with a metal speaker grill.

In my opinion the only thing lacking would be a case, something to protect the speaker during transport. This would help keep the decent finish nice.

Packaging is typically Anker, cardboard with a paper sleeve, ecologically friendly and very easy to open. None of this frustrating vacum sealed plastic, so definitely a plus point in my mind.

It's a nice touch that Anker include a line in cable so that you can use the speaker with a non bluetooth device. Charging is via the USB port, again Anker include a USB cable for this purpose.
