Was going to buy this at a retailer's website as I had a gift-card given to me ... (and their online price good compared to Steam) ...

BUT GUESS WHAT - in the ****--- 21st century the gift-cards only work in store and not online - what is the use of that :/

There's only a few stores that's in-store gift certs work online, it really is daft!

PS loving this game but by god it takes ages to load!

Plus the 3 installation limit and forced online activation.

There is also a ton of bugs apparently.

haven't come across any in 8 hours of campaign

Anybody have this game ? I have played the demo and I loved 1701, but I am thinking it is very similar to 1701 so is there anything new that makes this one particularly better ?
Nice if somebody who got the full game could post some impressions.

Basically its Anno 1701 with new graphics and a lot of game play tweaks and changes.

After really enjoying the demo i preordered the demo but after broadband playing up im only just dl now. Probably have to wait till tomorrow to play it, but i cant wait

Duran I think so, it had to register a key after install - Steam put the details in for me but I'm guessing that was the DRM. Not convinced DRM would work on steam though seeing as the games folder can be backed up..

Cant wait myself, loved all the other games in the series. Really enjoy getting my teeth in to population, construction and expansion without the annoyance of combat lol.

im so tempted to get it on steam but its £40 there and on most shops its listed as £25

Uhmm have you looked at the 2 most obviously.. can't link since they are considered competitors but one site is a but uhmm playful and the either is a rainforest..

Price is 24.99 on both sites with free shipping.. might be cheaper sites but not find them...
