Got abit of annoying problem in two parts

1) my motherboard is a complete troll and *loves* to reset boot order, or just ignore what i set it too. Ive tried ssd in different ports, still does it.

2) I have windows installed on a ssd, but my other drives still point or have bootable info from other windows installs or whatever from ages ago. which obivously doesnt work.

can I remove or replace that bootable info without formatting the other hd's? and how do I do that :x

mobo is a msi p67 gd65

the drives have a ton of data on them, games, music, photos etc :).
3.5 - 4 tb across all the drives so i dont fancy shuffling around all that data :|

The BIOS settings issue is probably due to the CMOS battery failing. Have you tried replacing it?

Failing that it could be a bug with the BIOS version so it may be worth seeing if there is an updated version you can try.

I presume removing the Windows folders from the other HDD's would eliminate this issue. There may also be a boot.ini on the route of the drives which could be removed. I would just remove everything that isn't your personal data.

Have you tried another CMOS battery?

One other thought, your CMOS jumper on the motherboard isn't set to reset is it?

it remmbers other settings, like clockspeed etc. maybe my ssd just takes awhile to register and the other hdds get in there :/

gonna prod it some tonight/tomorrow depending on how i feel xD
