I have just received an annual pay salary letter and have received a 2% increase. I find this actually insulting to say what I have done and how my performance has been this year

I will be having words with my manager as it says it takes into consideration performance - it clearly doesn't

Has anyone else received salary letters?

Depends what sector you work in, how busy it is and how easy it would be to find a new job.

I'd take 2% over no job, or bust company.

Plenty of people won't receive a penny so consider that before you throw all the toys out of the pram.

Depending on what size your company is a lot of companies just issue a blanket cost of living increase somewhere between 1% and 4% or whatever.

Maybe it does take performance into consideration, exceptional performance get 2%, everyone else gets nothing? Sounds fairly reasonable considering most people get nothing regardless at the moment.. What do you do?

What were you expecting, and how well did you perform?
Only an 8% rise for me this year **sigh**
I thought the national minimum wage only went up 2%?
