Annual Renewals and Loyalty Ripoffs

Be careful. For 3 years I was with Extra Energy, which were cheaper than all the big gas/electric providers but them & many more went bust when the markets didn't go their way.
Thankfully the likes of moneysavingexpert.co.uk do provide notes on utility providers regarding those sort of risks as well as customer service surveys! Obviously do your own research too. :)

got my car insurance renewal in, it had went down, did the usual gocompare type stuff and could get it a little bit cheaper from neverheardofthem but not a big enough saving to make it worthwhile shopping around.

Always review my gas and electric every years as that's a big expense so can save hundreds from that, always renegotiate a deal with sky, home and contents insurance and the broadband.

car insurance - interesting ploy(?) by the AA , their own compare ?
I knew they were a broker, but they have never suggested a renewal with another company before, to undercut hike from last years zurich £210,
albeit, excess increased.

Usually just take basic break-down , but can't find a £15 deal, AA 'were moving you to our silver membership for free' renewal £51 - yes please

Hadn't realised greenflag is part of churchill, so got a combo deal with them.

Annoyingly the online data associated with number plate had the wrong manufacture/car-year date, so had to complete purchase via telephone, missing the £10 Quidco.
I've had car several years, but often have this kind of problem. ?

Renewal quotes are always rubbish. My last car insurance went up £40 despite an extra years no claims, did a quick compare and I could get it for £300 instead of the £360 direct line wanted. A quick call and direct line dropped it to £280, stupid really as if they would have dropped it from £320 to say £300-310 I would have probably just renewed without checking.
