Another 360 bites the dust..

My 360 has finaly died just in time for PES6 :(

It was a launch core 360, so only a short time left to get it from the gaurantee! :eek:

It started showing signs a few months ago with lots of crashes and errors, now it's completly gone. 3red lights every time i turn it on, tried everything on microsoft website.

Does anybody know if GAME will accept a return on it through the shop even though it was bought online?

I'll print out the sales of goods act if anybody has the link and take that in with me as well?

I might just have to go with microsoft though as the nearest game store is 20miles away although i would prefer to take it back to the shop so it's quicker.

Mine also went today. It had being going for a while tbh too.

Took it back to HMV and exhchanged immediately. You can take ti to the high street store of GAME even though you bought online (as stated by your receipt). I would still phone first to get the nonsense out of the way. No shops really give them up easy, but at the end of the day, it is their responsibility to, so stick with it.
 
Eeek :( Sorry to hear about the 360 dying. Guess it's better that it happened now rather then later during the xmas festivities.

My launch day machine hasn't shown a single fault, despite hours of daily use. I just hope it doesn't pack up during xmas :/
 
You're a gonner I think, sorry :(

Give MS a ring, when I did I called them on the sunday, they picked it up on the monday, I had a brand new one on the friday.

Mares well post on here rather then opening a new thread.

When i turn on my 360 with the controller it sometimes lights up with 1 red sector, meaning i have to restart my 360 and has worked after that perfectly. It has happend about 6-7 times since i got it back in July, just wondering if anyone knew what this means and if it's anything serious? (It's the bottom right sector that shines red.)

In my eyes, if it doesn't work first time then there's something wrong.

'Officially' speaking, Microsofts website state that the 4 red lights is an AV cable issue that I had yesterday but it just didn't seem right. Lo and behold, today it crashed totally.

Well, it's not a good sign.

You could just leave it and hope it doesn't ever get any worse, tho it does sound like it will die eventually tbh.

It's up to you whether you want to risk it or just sort it now before it gets worse.

1 red sector is normally hardware failure.
 
Rang Microsoft (cheers for that number wedgie22).

Options Xbox360--> Console results in a number failure on the phone (like you hear the American engaged sound).

Tried going through normal Xbox to see if they could connect me, which they did, but went from UK to Manilla to America where they've took my details but can't arrange for a return as they couldn't connect to the UK either!

Will ring Game tomorrow to see if I can get it exchanged at the shop (replaced first one with them on 14/02/06 so still under a year).

Damn thing. Was only a few hours off from getting 100% in Prey and Hitman and doing Prey on Predatar difficulty.
