another 4890 worth it ?

hi i can get hold of a asus maximus x38 motherboard on the cheap i already have a hd4890.

looking to go xfire for the first time.

would adding another be worth it would i see much of a difference ?

gaming at 1920x1200

Seeing that you already have one I would have thought so, but with the 5xxx cards hitting their stride you might want to hold out if you can as you might be able to get a 4890 cheaper in the near future.
 
Judging by the 4890 crossfire reviews, I'd say that two 4890s is worth it. As said though, wait until the 5xxx series is more available so the price of the 4890 drops, or there might be a 5 series that catches your eye more than two 4890s.
 
a 5870 would be nice but a bit pricey

In the same boat as you here, wanting a 120Hz monitor sometime soon, will probably be pairing with with CF 4890's :) I don't see myself wanting DX11 for sometime.

That being said I'm waiting until Fermi arrives to see what can be had :)
 
I would say it's worth for another 1 year at least. HD4890 in Xfire perform better but minus DX11.
