Another 4GB vs 8GB thread

I have 8Gb with Vista Ultimate. Works brilliantly. Switch off the page file and the HD is as quiet as a mouse (yes some people say you shouldnt but Ive noticed significant performance games and no stability issues in fact my HD will probably live longer :)).

Been running for about 6 months now and if I had to choose 4 or 8 again I would choose 8GB - having the spare capacity even if you may not use it was worth it at the time. 4GB is just too close to the wire - it wont be long before you will need to have 8GB.
 
ive got 4gb (2x2GB sticks) of ocz reaper 800mhz to sell. its the 4-4-4-15 stuff and im wondering what its worth and where should i sell it? i need the money more than i need to have 8GB of ram, lol
 
The problem for me is that I seem to get blue screen of death errors when using windows vista with all 8 GB installed.

Despite me upping the ram voltage to 2.1v and beyond ???

So currently, its got 6GB in here, and running perfectly

So i guess i would have just stuck to 4GB knowing what i know now, although as someoen else said, 8GB for £75 like i paid, not bad if you ask me

Can't figure out with the issue for me is, 8GB just seemed to be a nightmare in the end, so just left 6GB in it

(unless anyone can tell me otherwise)
